Glad to see Francos back in town!
As expected with Francos, the food is delicious.... Reasonable prices, nice portions and great atmosphere... Hidden gem in the left corner of this strip mall.. From back in the day when he had the Red Lion Restaurant on rt7 in Ridgefield, to the place he had just across from Costco....
You won't be disappointed !!!! -

Everything we had hoped for and more!
We traveled an hour to this tony Italian restaurant to see Gustavo - who we knew from his years at Crabtree Kittle House. Franco, his brother, is the driving force and owner at this, and its prior incarnation nearby. Steve was the frontman and our server.
Roughly a dozen tables on the end of a small strip mall. Perfect way to hide a spot you would find up a nondescript alley in an old town in Italy.
We started with Capesante alla Franco, bay
scallops on a bed of cucumber with caper vinaigrette. For me, one of the best things I have ever eaten. Ridiculously good. My wife went with the Eggplant Rollatini, with spinach and ricotta l. a special of the day. This will sound corny, but the best sauce she has ever had. Everything was so fresh, so made in-house, although local regs prohibit using terms like "homemade".
This theme of best ever would be repeated later...
We took some time between courses, as a salad with a fresh vinaigrette split our apps and mains. We also took some time to learn about Franco and Steve's journey to our table...food, wine, good people - a magical combo.
Our entrees were Veal Scaloppini al Marsala sautéed in a mushroom and Marsala wine sauce, with potatoes and roasted vegetables and Gamberoni Arrostiti, jumbo shrimp (at least 7) sautéed in garlic, sherry wine and lemon, served over pasta. The veal was fork tender, the shrooms fresh and happily nesting in their wine sauce. The fresh lemon and sherry wine made the dish pop.
We managed to avoid dessert, but thankfully not the Limoncello that takes 6 months of love to prepare. I have had many, including imported home-made on my wine list - but this was best by a long shot. What a finish!
Holy cow - we will definitely journey back cause the folks and the place were just so darn good!! -

What a gem! Loved the food and the service. Atmosphere was very relaxing and clean. Waitstaff was superb and quick. Plenty of seating with a full bar and complimentary lemon cello.
We had chicken scarpariello and lasagna bolognese which we're both fabulous. We will definitely be back! -

From the moment of walking into Franco's restaurant to leaving with full bellies, Franco and his staff made us feel warm & welcomed. At Franco's, you're family. The entire dinner experience was one of a kind & personal- like you were a guest in someone's home. Every part of the experience was special--our incredible appetizers (we ordered the Eggplant Rollatini, Fried Calamari & Clams Casino) made it hard not to order seconds. For dinner, I ordered the duck breast & cleaned the entire plate. Every bite was a blissful moment I wanted to last forever. The rest of my family ordered the Carbonara special (with peas & panchetta) & the zuppa de pesce (SO fresh), all the portions generous and the flavors authentic. Dessert came soon after, something we couldn't deny after experiencing the amazing flavors Franco's had to offer. Chocolate cake, creme brulee & warm apple tart were next to come. My father (chocolate cake LOVER) described the cake as the best he's ever had. The creme brulee was perfectly torched, perfectly sweet and creamy. The apple tart was irresistible-served with vanilla icecream. Franco's focuses not only on flavors but experience and that's what sets this place apart. Franco offered an after dinner cocktail (seeing that someone had posted before me on a homemade Limoncello by Franco himself, we *had* to try it). The limoncello was smooth & unforgettable, something we know we have to come back for (as if the food & experience wasn't enough). We will certainly be back to Franco's and recommend all who come across this hidden gem to experience everything that it has to offer. Truly a remarkable and memorable meal.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Brookfield. We were at Franco's on a Saturday night after a day of watching Oscar nominated movies. I had a roasted beet salad, duck in a fruited glaze, and my favorite Pinot Noir. A Terramesui for dessert. It was perfect! The manager and wait staff always make us feel special, and valued. It is first first class dining in a great little town!
